How Should I Store My Jewellery?

Jewellery should be stored in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight. If possible try and keep jewellery in separate soft pouches to prevent scratching and tangling.

 

Should I Remove Jewellery Before Showering or Swimming?

Yes. Remove jewellery before showering, swimming or using hot tubs. Water, chlorine, salt and soap can dull finishes.

 

How Do I Clean Silver Jewellery?

Use a soft polishing sloth made for silver.  Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners.

 

Why Does Jewellery Tarnish?

Silver and bronze naturally reacts with air and moisture, causing tarnish.  This is normal and not damage. Regular wear and gentle polishing will help keep it bright.

 

Can Perfumes and Lotions Affect Jewellery?

Yes.  Ideally apply perfume, hairspray and lotions before putting on jewellery.  Chemicals can dull metal and damage certain stones and finsihes.

 

What Is Silver Clay?

Silver clay is made from tiny particles of real silver mixed with an organic binder and water.  It is shaped like clay and then fired.  After firing the binder burns away and the piece becomes solid fine silver.
